one year anniversary
Sunday session

I did a 17 km run today. Run in a Skaryszewski Park for the first time ever. This place is full of runners which provides me with an extra motivation. As snow is kinda melting due to weather conditions, it is hard to run (wet socks, etc). Tomorrow a day off and 1 hr + intervals day after tomorrow. My knee started to hurt again and it is getting, both, frustrating and scary.

2012, here I come
This is my main project for 2012. I hope to move into this piece in October. Pls, keep your finger crossed for me (us) as I need good fortune to be connected with this building on daily basis. Secondly, running will be my other focus for 2012. I am have already planned two half marathons (one at the end of Feb. and the second just month later). Both of those events will take place in Warsaw. September will be a month of my biggest sporting/mental challenge so far as I am going to complete my first marathon ever. It will happen in Warsaw too. Wish me luck.

Warsaw’s Olympic Race
So I did run in a Warsaw’s Olympic Race yesterday (8 km in 46 min). It was a side event of the Warsaw’s Marathon. It was my second organized run ever too. The first was the Broloppet half marathon that I did last year. After quite good and easy run I came to conclusion that I want to run a full marathon in 2012. It wont be easy, but after seeing all those runners who run more than 41 km yesterday, I simply feel I must achieve this too.
My Dad’s Birthday
end of summer ;(
Italy was a blast. Returned to Warsaw abt 3 weeks ago and I m still not able adjust myself to a “normal” life here. It has been a long time since my last European holidays. I got used to to long-haul destinations so I felt like I was risking a lot when we choose Italy as our holiday target. But seriously, It all worked really fine and we had a really great time.
Summarizing those over 3 weeks trip: I scratched my car and lost all my shoes. I did not make any new friends. We laugh a lot and I did not get sunburned this time. I did not shave for 3,5 weeks and I was only wearing slippers (talking abt footwear only:) and no shoes (as those were stolen/lost) at all. I ate too much pizza and spaghetti al pomodoro, however we did find some some good vegan/vegetarian restaurants. Dolce Vegan in Florence was defiantly a winner. Amazing place to eat. Speaking of favourites – Venice, Rome and Amalfi were the best spots we visited during this tour. I don’t have idea how many kilometers we did with my Kia. Actually, I dont care about numbers
Here are my two flickr’s sets of photos taken during our road trip.
PEACE
a road trip
We re driving through Europe with a desire to reach Amalfi’s cost (south of Napoli). Today we re in Florence, Tuscany. Dolce Vegan was discovery of the day! It is probably one of the best (if not THE BEST) vegan restaurant I ate. And you know that I visited lots of vegan places around the globe, right? Great italian vegan food and amazing sweets, cakes, doughnuts + positive vegan propaganda. Is there anything more we want from places like this?
Pisa and Siena tomorrow. Ciao!
